L’Ma Lodge - Skoura
Charming, sustainably-minded guesthouse in a palm tree oasis
Ins and outs: the guesthouse consists of a mansion and a riad, surrounded by 8000 square meters of magical gardens with palm trees, roses and a wide variety of fruit and vegetables.
Location: the lodge is located in Skoura, on the road to the elusive Sahara desert. Ouarzazate is under an hour drive from Skoura
Rooms: There are 4 spacious rooms and 3 suites, all individually styled and decked out with a living area and small balcony.
Food and Drinks: a mix between Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine is served with homemade bread and olive oil from olives straight out of the garden. Pomegranates, dates and herbs are all picked from the organic garden too.
Sustainability: the owners of this wonderful lodge have rescued a severely abused horse and a pregnant donkey, who are now thriving in the back garden. The lodge grows a part of their produce in their garden, without any use of chemicals.
Unseen: from the lodge you can walk straight into the palm grove to discover the extensive grounds. Take a guide to learn more about the area and support the local community
