Along twisty roads in the Moroccan mountains
Magical Morocco has a whole lot more to offer than a visit to the enchanting city of Marrakech; glamping in the elusive Sahara desert, surfing the Atlantic Coast or exploring the blue village in the North of Morocco are a few of the many experiences this versatile country has in store for the adventurous traveler. If there is one thing that will make every nature-lovers green heart beat a whole lot faster, it would be road tripping through the majestic Atlas Mountains.
The High Atlas mountains, North Africa’s highest mountain range, stretches out from Marrakech all the way to Agadir on the south coast. The area is a hiker’s paradise, with palm tree valleys, mountain rivers and remote villages scattered throughout the landscape.

The clear mountain water in rivers and waterfalls provide the perfect opportunity to cool down on those scorching hot days in Moroccan summers. Once, the infamous ‘Paradise Valley’ in the Tamraght valley, was the highlight of any trip to this stunning area. Unfortunately, nowadays the place is suffering from the large number of visitors that are visiting on a daily basis. The paths to the turquoise pools are often littered and graffiti is sprayed on some of the rock formations, it is a real shame.
Luckily, there is another hidden valley, located in a more secluded area of the Atlas mountains. A wonderful hike through palm tree valleys leads up to the icy blue plunge pools. Spend the perfect afternoon finding shade under the trees and cooling down in these natural pools.
To keep these special places protected, we have decided to only publish the exact location of the hidden gems we find in the guides that will be available later on.
